11.00: Termination of Employment (labor act)

  • Voluntary termination: Where an employee declares to terminate the contract voluntarily shall be obliged to pay the employer a one month salary. 
  • Probation dismissal: An employee shall be given probation dismissal on failure to fulfil the employer’s agreed terms during the signing of the contract.
  • Reduction in Force: An organization may sometimes make a reduction in force due to the limited funded programs or projects. However for LASWA this is a very rare case simply because in the absence of the donor funded project staff shall work on voluntary basis and it is well clarified in the LASWA contract agreement.

Hence the employment and contract of employees of LASWA base on the presence of the donor funded projects at that particular period. Or else if that occurs, the management or Board shall determine the whole firm of the employee including other benefits.
